We have left in the cottage a large number of suggestions for day’s out. Here though are some of our favorites.

 Stratford upon Avon

27 miles through wonderful country side that takes you through to Warwick where you can admire the Castle Then onto Royal Leamington Spa. A great town full of the unusual with art galleries and fashion shops.

Then onto Stratford with all that this wonderful town offers.

To help you find your way we’ve placed a map in the folder, please take one with you.

 Bicester Village

OK so a  bit further but great for bargains. This is Bond Street at Market prices. You will find outlets by Versace, Ralph Lauren, DNKY and many more. This is the biggest outlet in the UK. Fantastic bargains on clothing and Bose HiFi and TAG Heuer watches.

Warwick Castle

New for 2006 is the UK’s first REAL ice slide. The slide will sit right below the Castle’s dramatic towers and ramparts and will be a 60 metre adrenaline-fuelled icy adventure! The ice rink also returns for a third fantastic year - take to the ice in the unique setting of the Castle courtyard.

Christmas tree in the Great Hall

Right at the heart of the frozen fun is the Castle itself; decorated in traditional style with a huge Christmas tree, adorned with over 2000 lights, set in the baronial surroundings of the Great Hall.  Discover how the Castle household would have prepared for a Christmas party and find out about the origins of our Christmas traditions.

Take time out from the frozen fun at the Ice Café – watch skaters glide by on the adjacent ice rink and take your pick from our menu of warming winter food and drink, available throughout the day and into the evening.

The frozen fun doesn’t end when the Castle closes its doors…

Experience Slide & Glide after dark with lights twinkling in the trees and the Castle itself lit up in frosty colours against the night sky.

Or just relax near the canal watching the world go by!
