New for 2006 is the UK’s first REAL ice slide. The slide will sit right below the Castle’s dramatic towers and ramparts and will be a 60 metre adrenaline-fuelled icy adventure! The ice rink also returns for a third fantastic year - take to the ice in the unique setting of the Castle courtyard.
Right at the heart of the frozen fun is the Castle itself; decorated in traditional style with a huge Christmas tree, adorned with over 2000 lights, set in the baronial surroundings of the Great Hall. Take time out from the frozen fun at the Ice Café – watch skaters glide by on the adjacent ice rink and take your pick from our menu of warming winter food and drink, available throughout the day and into the evening.
